"The Saint" was a popular adventure radio program in the United States, based on the character Simon Templar, created by author Leslie Charteris. Simon Templar, also known as "The Saint," was a suave, swashbuckling, and often witty "Robin Hood" type who fought criminals while staying a step ahead of the police.The radio program had several iterations on different networks:Early runs: The Saint first appeared on radio in 1940 in a six-episode series in Ireland on Radio Athlone, starring Terence De Marney.
