《道德经》，又称《道德真经》、《老子》、《五千言》、《老子五千文》，是中国古代先秦诸子分家前的一部著作，为其时诸子所共仰,是春秋时期老子(即李耳)所作的哲学著作。在先秦时《吕氏春秋·注》称为《上至经》，在汉初则直呼《老子》。自汉景帝起此书被尊为《道德经》，至唐代唐太宗曾令人将《道德经》翻译为梵文。唐高宗尊称《道德经》为《上经》，唐玄宗时更尊称此经为《道德真经》。
