Sunshine in My Nest

Elizabeth Santelmann

Welcome to Sunshine in my Nest Podcast! I'm your host Elizabeth Santelmann. I hope these chats with our mentors about gospel-centered living will equip and inspire you to grow spiritually, love your family, and invest in your local community! Through the conversations with these women of faith I’ve learned to pray and trust God's plans are good for me. I've grown in empathy, obedience to God’s will, patience with my kids, skills to disciple my kids, and reflected on how my day to day life impacts my faith walk. I pray that listening will do the same for you!

We are told hundreds of times in the Bible to be glad and rejoice, but culturally we seem more likely to "rush on" and "go to the next thing." Christians aren't called to celebrate just because we love a good party. Our celebrations are a faith practice. They are guideposts and reminders that point to our eternal reality where we will enjoy feasing with God for eternity! Today I'm chatting with Adam of the Family Discipleship Podcast. We are going to talk about what healthy celebration looks like and how we fold it into our families more often.
