常氏相声创始人是常连安先生，后承续其子常宝堃、常宝霖、常宝霆、常宝华、常宝庆、常宝丰，第三代则有常贵田、常贵生、常贵德，如今第四代的常亮、常远、杨凯等亦开始崭露头角。可以说，如果评选一个家庭中相声演员最多者，常氏当仁不让，独占鳌头。
